Teaching the small kids was such an enriching experience.
I used to go to different classes every week so I thought maybe the children wouldn’t be able to recognize me when I came to the same class the next time.
But there was this one kid who always remembered me, no matter how long it had been since I last saw him.
Everytime I went to his class he would come running to me and drag me to his spot and make me sit with him. I noticed that he never wrote anything down on his notebook and I asked him why. His friend told me that he generally doesn't talk or write legibly. I asked the kid if I could write in his notebook and he accepted. I told him that if I wrote a word he must write the same below. He tried once but he wasn’t able to write. Then I made him write by making him hold the pencil while I held his hand. After writing just a few words, he was able to copy what I wrote without my assistance. It was such a magical moment when he wrote all by himself.
That was the moment that made me feel extremely grateful for choosing VITeach! The happiness that I get by teaching can never be replaced. VITeach will remain in my heart forever!
