The Government High School of Kandigai is a more well-established school comprising both Tamil medium and English mediums. The GHS Kandigai Project by VITeach was started in the weaning months of 2019 and inaugurated in the month of February 2020 with a workshop on Optics for Children by IEEE society in collaboration with VITeach.
The Adi Dravida Welfare school is a government-funded school nestled in the tiny village of Killakotaiyur. Small circular buildings surrounded by a large playground which bring back the faint nostalgia of a school from a picturesque novel set in the early start of the 1900’s characterises this school.
Thiruvannamalai project, also called Angilam Express, was a project that we worked on, under the Thiruvannamalai region District Collector. The undertaking expanded from teaching in one school to teaching in several other schools in that region. Our main priority was to teach them English alongside fundamental abilities.
VITeach in collaboration with a registered non-governmental organization known as “Sneham foundation”, which works towards betterment of the society, undertook to teach underprivileged children belonging to Padi Kuppam area in Chennai.
VITeach undertook to teach python to the kids belonging to the Mumbai slum area, studying in Oxford English High school, Malvani and Holy Star school. The kids were taught the coding language via online meeting platforms.
