Sharen's Tale

My journey with VITeach began in my second year of college, driven by the club's mission to support nearby government school students. As a volunteer, I was captivated by how our college students were making a difference. I initially joined the design and content teams, creating posters, reels, and online materials. By the end of the year, I earned a spot as a junior co-committee member, where I learned to manage various responsibilities.

During the pandemic, we shifted to an online platform, conducting Python sessions and developing English learning materials for our YouTube channel. This allowed us to ensure learning remained accessible through free platforms. In my third year, I became the Video Head, leading my team in creating content that continued to aid students' learning.

When in-person activities resumed, we organized events at nearby government schools, celebrating special days like International Yoga Day and Independence Day, and sharing our love for science through experiments and demonstrations. One of the most memorable activities was our stationery donation drive, where we personally collected and distributed supplies to the students, witnessing the joy and excitement in their eyes.

For me, VITeach is more than just a club; it’s a platform for learning, and giving back to the community. The experiences and memories with these amazing kids have truly shaped my life, teaching me that education extends beyond textbooks and classrooms. It's about making learning an enjoyable and meaningful journey for every student.
