Arunima's Tale

In my second year of college, I stumbled upon VITeach, a program dedicated to nurturing teaching skills. Excited by the prospect of imparting knowledge, I eagerly joined the school team. I spent countless hours making engaging presentations and thought-provoking worksheets, envisioning the lively discussions and interactive lessons they would foster.

However, since we had online classes our plans were thwarted, leaving us unable to realize our teaching ambitions. Undeterred by this setback, I persevered, and in the following year, I was entrusted with the role of school head. Alongside my fellow heads, we meticulously organised the plethora of educational resources at our disposal, determined to make the most of our teaching opportunities. The anticipation was palpable as I stepped into the classroom for the first time as a teacher. The students' infectious enthusiasm and genuine eagerness to learn filled the room, igniting a passion within me that I never knew existed. Their joy and enthusiasm became my driving force, propelling me to teach with renewed vigour and dedication.

Each session presented a new opportunity to inspire and empower young minds, reaffirming my belief in the transformative power of education. Despite the challenges we faced, witnessing the growth and progress of the students was immensely gratifying, reinforcing my conviction that teaching is not just a profession but a calling—a calling to make a positive impact on the lives of others through the gift of knowledge and learning.
