Arvind's Tale

“Ever since I was in my first grade, I have loved teaching. In the name of teaching, I had dolls that I would randomly blabber to. This slowly became my passion as I grew up. Back in school, there were days when I used to teach in my class. I still remember teaching a lesson to my whole class in 7th grade as my teacher fell sick. I never restricted myself to any subject. I would teach any subject to anyone. My interest in teaching just kept multiplying as I grew up. I used to teach my friends a day before the exam in school, and I still remember teaching my roommate in the hostel. My mom used to teach students who are deaf and dumb using sign language, and even before that, she’s done a lot of teaching, so I would say she’s my first reason for being motivated to be a teacher. Through VITeach, I not only got the opportunity to do something I’m passionate about but also feel content that it’s done for the needy. Every smile given to us by the students motivates me to do more in the field of education. During the initial days of college, I thought I'd finish my UG, then step into PG, and then get into the teaching line. But little did I know about VITeach, in which I could teach while doing UG and to kids who are really in need. Due to the pandemic, I couldn’t get many opportunities to meet the kids physically and see their smiles while learning new things, but I look forward to meeting them when it’s the safest time for all of us!”
